Risk assessment according to state-of-the-art technology acc. to BetrSichV<\/h2>\n

What does risk assessment according to state-of-the-art technology mean? The Industrial Safety Regulations require a regular check of the risk assessment under consideration of state-of-the-art \u2012 aiming at safe usage of work equipment. Only then, the risk assessment will be considered to be law-compliant. Changes in state-of-the-art does not necessary mean that the work equipment needs to be state-of-the-art. But usage of the work equipment must be safe according to state-of-the-art knowledge. This can also be ensured by supplementary safety measures. In different circumstances, the risk assessment must be adjusted immediately. Even if the check of the risk assessment does not indicate a need for modification, the fact that the check has been performed must be documented with the date. Adjustment to state-of-the-art can be achieved by technical or supplementary organisational safety measures.<\/p>\n
